Hollywood moved to Turkey for Sand festival

The 5th International Antalya Sand Festival, which is one of the largest Sand Festivals in the world, will be held in Lara Beach Park Complex in Antalya between 4 June-14 November 2011. The festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, Muratpaşa Municipality and Antalya Association of Journalists and 25 professional sand sculptors will be attending the festival from Turkey and various countries. The theme for this year's festival is Hollywood.


Apart from the sand sculptors of legendary Hollywood stars, unforgettable scenes from Hollywood movies will also be sculptured in sand at the festival. The 7000 meter square giant area will also host a 25 meter long dinosaur made out of sand. The exhibition will be more dream like at nighttime with the special light and sound effects. Approximately 200,000 guests are expected to visit the sand exhibition.
